"Within my research-based and often collaborative artistic work, I am mainly interested in the examination of the underlying structures generating the patterns of our image culture, decoding image conventions as naturally occurring formations. Some works deal with commercially constructed values related to branding. The field of examination includes the question of obligation to self-design as well as the function of an object as a carrier of value and feelings. I work on the use of iconic elements and their various interpretations and readings: the universality of symbols as fragile and possibly failing transmitters for relationships and moods.
I wonder about a reactualization of the value question and how to get further than fast and productive thinking and acting, how to invent a new language in the sense of delearning our values and giving certain outlines a new filling. What about our possibilities to envisage a process of collective subjectivation and social solidarity. On search for a practical approach helping to demonumentalize normative language."
