I am looking forward to contributing.
Today while talking to Clara we were looking back,
looking back at processes that have/had already started through the Sessions and now lay dormant waiting to wake up.
So these are some concrete things that we like to work on:
I would like to put them on the Membrane Blog, but to be honest I don´t know where and if it´s the right point in time already, as they are not formulated very well.
A Score piece that Diane Hillebrand, Eri Dimtriadi, Hamid Shah and I worked on during the Summer Intensive. Eri is an Artist from Greece and will come to Kassel in the Summer (mid of July), we don´t know when, but it would be lovely to reactivate what we´ve worked on, and share it with others…develop it further.
In the Course of the Chorus of Voices Seminar, we (Malin Kuht, Marie Schomerus, Diane Hillebrand, Clare Ronsdorf & E.P.) have made a Podcast piece, about/with/over/going beyond the work of a Documenta Artist Irena Haiduk, we would like to share this. Following that, we would like to use the time during the Documenta to finish a new Podcast dealing with orality in another way and that in same ways relate to the work of Irena Haiduk.
As mentioned in a Mail 2 day ago:
I will focus on a working group: Indignity, ingenuity, indigeneity I´ve already started gathering reading Material, Interviews… and I would enjoy having space, time and a community to discuss with. The Themes I
proposed
are to be seen as a reference point, maybe the research could expand to something like a multi-layered map – which could already be one definition of indigeneity and heritage. I think working out different Definitions & Motives by critically examining what they are based on: Theoretical, Historical, Global, individual & collective Memory could be the goal (maybe a too big goal) But due to the Fact that there are many Artist on display in this Documenta that identify with their own
indigenous heritage we could closely exam the works to get into the process of examining our own heritage and social/political identity (and not just that of the “”others””).
And last but not least:
The music and poetry group. In December Cilian and I put together ideas that came up in Email correspondence with the other members of the group. It would be great to activate the group again and try out some ideas! I´ve sent the Document we´ve put together already if you need it again, I can send it. If it should find it´s way onto the Blog, which I would appreciate it, but we would have to check which the other members of the Group beforehand.
Okay, that’s all for the Moment.
I won´t make it the the 26.4 to the Papiercafe, so I thought it would sense to share Ideas that could then again be shared with people interested – if necessary, or Members from the Sessions who would like to jump in again.
